Young Atlanticist Day

On March 12th, students and young leaders at the University of Warsaw will discuss and debate central issues of the Atlantic Community during Young Atlanticist Day.  Reaching out to other young leaders in Washington DC, Kyiv and Kabul, they will share their perspectives on new security threats and the prospects for a more peaceful and prosperous future.

First woman Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Afghanistan

Ms. Fawzia Koofi became a Member of Afghanistan Parliament in 2005. She was also elected as the first woman deputy speaker of Parliament in 2005-2006. Before being a Member of Parliament, Ms. Koofi worked with UNICEF as Women and Children’s Protection Officer and also worked with different Civil Society institutions as a women’s and children’s activist. She also lectured at Badakhshan medical university. She is known as a women’s and children’s rights activist in Afghanistan

Fawzia Koofi will participate in Alliance Challenges in Afganistan and its Region.
