President Bill Clinton offered a personal tribute via video to President George H.W. Bush at the Atlantic Council's 2009 annual Awards Dinner. President Bush and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl were honored with Distinguished International Leadership Award in recognition of their historic roles in bringing about the peaceful end of the Cold War and German reunification. The dinner commemorated the 20th anniversary year of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the 60th anniversary of NATO. Here are the President's remarks.
