Biography

Tom Blair

Tom Blair has an unusual background that helped shape his wide-ranging accomplishments and pursuits. Born in England during WWII, his dad was an American serviceman married to a young British girl. Blair’s father was killed at Normandy in 1944.

In the business arena, he has founded several highly successful public companies. While Blair certainly understands Wall Street, as a long-term Washingtonian, he has keen insights into the political process.

Blair does not think of himself as a driven businessman. Rather, for him business was a means to finance his interests and passions, particularly those relating to American history, politics, economics, and aviation. He has the world’s largest personal collection of WWII British fighter planes, many of which he flies.

He most recently authored the book Poorer Richard's America: What Would Ben Say?

Tom’s main residence is the Washington Metropolitan area. He has three children, fifteen grandchildren, and he has been married to his wife, Alice, for forty-two years.
