Biography

Sherry Rehman

Sherry Rehman is a Pakistani politician and journalist.

Rehman was Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting between 2008 and 2009 and a Member of National Assembly between 2002 and 2007. During her time in the Parliament, Ms. Rehman was a strong proponent of human rights, gender justice, and freedom of the press.

Previously, Rehman was Editor-in-Chief of The Herald, a leading Pakistani newsmagazine, and served as a member of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors.
