Biography

James O'Connor

James O’Connor worked at the Atlantic Council from 2008 through summer 2010 as the Assistant Director of the Global Business Program, a program developed to promote greater trade and investment links across the Atlantic and to examine issues of general interest to the business community on both sides.  A native of Boston, James previously worked with the European Parliament in Brussels for the Committee of International Trade where his focus was on trade relations with the United States within the context of the TEC and TLD.

Prior to his work with the Parliament, James worked as part of a team of investment professionals at UBS Financial Services in Boston which managed individual investors’ portfolios.  James obtained a BS in Marketing and International Business from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in 2003.  James is highly proficient in Spanish and also has a working knowledge of French.
