Biography

Farhana Qazi

Farhana Qazi is a terrorism analyst, a writer and sought-after public speaker on conflicts in the Muslim world. She is Senior Instructor for the AFPAK team at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Along with regional expertise, she has focused on women's activism in mass sociopolitical movements and terrorist networks. She is the among the few female scholars, and the only Muslim woman, who examines closely the female suicide bomber trend in Iraq and other conflicts.

Ms. Qazi appears regularly on diverse media outlets, including the BBC world radio and television, CNN headline and world news, Al-Jazeera English, Voice of America, Canadian television, National Public Radio, and on foreign broadcast television and newspapers, such as Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. Ms. Qazi is a former international policy analyst with the RAND Corporation (2008-2005) and a political analyst with the U.S. Government (2000-2005).

She is a graduate of the Security Policy Studies program at The George Washington University and is proficient in Urdu, French, Hindi, Punjabi and is studying classical Arabic.
