Biography

Caio Koch-Weser

Mr. Caio Koch-Weser is vice chairman and senior advisor of Deutsche Bank Group.  Previously, he was state secretary and deputy minister within the German Federal Ministry of Finance until November 2005.
 
From 1973 to 1999, he held a number of high-level positions in the World Bank, notably as division chief for the China program, deputy treasurer and director of treasury operations, regional vice president for Middle East and North Africa, and managing director of operations and member of the Executive Committee.
 
Additionally, is a member of the advisory board of the Bertelsmann Foundation and a trustee of the Institute for International Economics (IIE) in Washington, DC. From 2003 to 2005, he was the chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union.

Mr. Caio Koch-Weser was born in Rolanda, Brazil.
