Bahaa Hariri

Mr. Bahaa Hariri is a member of the Atlantic Council's International Advisory Board.
Oldest son of slain Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Bahaa Hariri has more than two decades in the challenging field of real estate development and investment. Also founder and chairman of the Horizon Group, a property development and investment group operating in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon, Hariri has honed a talent for spotting and pursuing growth opportunities.
Mr. Hariri started his career in Saudi Arabia where he worked in the family's construction and maintenance company, Saudi Oger, Ltd. In 2008 Mr. Hariri left the family business to pursue his growing personal business interests. In 1995, Mr. Hariri took over the ownership and management of Overseas Group, a logistics company based out of KSA. Under his leadership, Overseas Group became a global leader in the logistics industry with operations and new offices in Dubai, Beirut, Paris, and Dallas. In 2010, Overseas Group merged with Globe Express Services, expanding its network considerably and adding a stronghold in Asia. This merger places Globe Express Services (Overseas Group) amongst the top 100 logistics providers globally.
