Biography

Riley Barnes

Riley is an assistant director with the International Security Program.

He grew up in Uvalde, Texas and received his BA in Politics at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. Riley recently completed MA in International Affairs at the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, focusing on defense policy/military affairs and international economics. As part of his graduate school experience, he studied in New Delhi at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Riley interned at the Scowcroft Group. He speaks conversational Spanish.
