Jason Healey Contributes to New NATO Cyber Manual

January 25, 2013

Continuing the Atlantic Council’s strength in NATO cyber issues, Jason Healey, director of the Atlantic Council's Cyber Statecraft Initiative, has contributed to a recently published NATO manual.

The NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence has just published the National Cyber Security Framework Manual (PDF, ePub downloads) providing detailed background information and in-depth theoretical frameworks to understand policy formulation for national cyber security. The book, edited by Alexander Klimberg and funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program, includes practical examples which highlight the different choices that various NATO and non-NATO nations have taken to meet cyber challenges, such as the balance between the private and public sectors and whether to favor cyber offense and defense.
