Danya Greenfield Assesses Pre-Election Environment with IRI Delegation in Jordan

From October 17-21, Danya Greenfield, Hariri Center deputy director, participated in an assessment of the pre-election environment in Jordan conducted by the International Republican Institute. The delegation will issue a report in early November with findings and recommendations to improve the electoral environment and enhance transparency for upcoming parliamentary elections. This photo was taken in Amman at the HQ of the newly formed Independent Election Commission (IEC), where IEC Chairman Mr. Abdul Ilah Khatib met with members of the IRI delegation, including Gretchen Birkle, IRI MENA deputy director, Jeff Lilley IRI Jordan country director, and Danya Greenfield. Chairman Khatib is the first chairman of the new, independent commission that will oversee parliamentary elections on January 23, 2012.
