U.S. to Brief Russia and NATO Partners on Details of Missile Plan

Jorge Benitez | February 22, 2010

From UPI: The Russian permanent envoy to NATO said Friday a U.S. official will provide details of the U.S. missile defense program at an upcoming briefing.

Envoy Dmitry Rogozin told Russia's Interfax news agency the briefing by the U.S. official, whose identity was not released, would occur at a March 3 meeting of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council in Brussels.

Rogozin said the briefing will be a way to "address such a broad audience because questions that the Russian side plans to ask will be of interest not only to members of the Russia-NATO Council but also to neutral states and countries in the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States)."
