Michele Dunne on US-Egypt Relations for NPR's Morning Edition
Relations between the US and Egypt have taken a downturn since Egyptian authorities raided the offices of seventeen nongovernmental organizations in December - three of them US-funded. Michele Dunne, director of the Atlantic Council's Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East, spoke on NPR's Morning Edition about the situation and what it means for US aid to Egypt.

NATO Strategic Concept Seminar
February 23, 2010On February 22 and 23, the National Defense University and Allied Command Transformation hosted the Washington Strategic Concept Seminar. The fourth and final Strategic Concept Seminar focused on future NATO capabilities and forces, as well as provided recommendations for drafting NATO’s next Strategic Concept. The Seminar was held in partnership with the Atlantic Council, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Johns Hopkins SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton kicked off the Seminar with a speech on the future of NATO. General Stéphane Abrial, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation; Robert Gates, Secretary of Defense; and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen also offered their thoughts on a new Strategic Concept for the Alliance.
