Georgia’s Future Strategic Challenges: Reforming Under Pressure

General Wald and Georgian Defense Minister Sikharulidze

Vasil Sikharulidze, the Defense Minister of Georgia, spoke at an Atlantic Council panel hosted by the International Security Program.  The discussion, “Reforming Under Pressure: Georgia’s Future Strategic Challenges," was introduced by International Security Program Director Damon Wilson.

The event also featured commentary from David Kramer, Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund, and General Charles F. Wald, USAF (Ret.), the former Deputy Commander of USEUCOM and a member of the Atlantic Council Board of Directors.  Kramer and Wilson recently collaborated on an essay for Foreign Policy's The Argument blog.
