General Craddock: The Future of NATO, Afghanistan Operations
May 11, 2009General John Craddock spoke candidly on the future of NATO for the Atlantic Council's Commanders Series, a lecture series of high-level U.S. and European military leaders hosted by the Council's International Security Program. General Craddock is NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of U.S. European Command. In his discussion, entitled "NATO, 2010 and Beyond: SACEUR's Perspective," the outgoing SACEUR discussed operations in Afghanistan and reflected on the current challenges facing NATO as the alliance seeks to define its role in tomorrow's security environment. Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council, moderated the event.
