Final EUCOM Workshop

On Wednesday, February 2, the Strategic Advisors Group and members of the Atlantic Council expert network met for the third and final workshop of the International Security Program’s project on the future of the United States European Command (EUCOM). This project, conducted jointly with the National Defense University, assesses the implications of the NATO Strategic Concept on EUCOM and how an eventual withdrawal of NATO forces in Afghanistan will impact the future of the command.

Atlantic Council Senior Fellow Ian Brzezinski chaired this workshop, which focused on discussing the analytical papers and executive summary of the report to be provided to EUCOM Commander Admiral Jim Stavridis and senior members of the EUCOM staff.
