Jan Neutze

Jan Neutze is the assistant director for the Program on Transatlantic Relations. Mr. Neutze joined the Council in 2005 while completing his Master’s degree in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. His primary research areas include the foreign policy and security aspects of the transatlantic relationship, U.S.-EU relations and EU-NATO relations. Prior to his association with the Atlantic Council, Mr. Neutze worked in the office of the German ambassador to the United States. Additional experience includes internships with Intellibridge Corporation, the German Interior Ministry, as well as the German Consulate General in Atlanta. A native of Germany, Mr. Neutze completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Muenster, Germany, where he earned a German law degree.
