Patrick deGategno

Patrick deGategno is the Asia and Global Issues Programs' Assistant Director. Mr. deGategno joined the Atlantic Council in January 2007 after working at iJET International, Inc., analyzing open source intelligence on Chinese and Southeast Asian security affairs. From 2002-2005, he worked in various non-profits focused on Asian affairs while pursuing his MA in Asian Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs. Research interests include security, political, diplomatic, economic and social affairs of China, the Koreas and Southeast Asia, U.S.-Asia relations, and cross-Strait relations. Mr. deGategno received a BA in Cultural Studies from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
